Two things only. (1) Contact forms: when you choose to submit an interest, land, partner or guest form, we receive the details you enter — typically your name, email, and any message or property details you provide. (2) Basic usage analytics: which pages are viewed, the approximate referral source, the page language, and your device type.
This site sets no cookies and runs no advertising or social trackers. Our analytics are self-hosted on our own server. We do not store your IP address — only a daily, non-reversible code is used to roughly count visitors, and it cannot identify you. We respect your browser's "Do Not Track" setting: if it is on, we record nothing.
Our forms are sent through a third-party form-delivery service (FormSubmit), which forwards your message to our project email. This means the details you submit may be processed on servers outside the EU/UK. We use them only to read and reply to your enquiry — never to sell or market to you without your consent.
We handle the information you send so we can respond to your enquiry (at your request), and we keep simple, anonymous usage statistics under our legitimate interest in understanding how the site is used.
Enquiry emails are kept only as long as needed to handle your message and any related discussion, then deleted on request. Analytics are retained in aggregate, non-identifying form.
You can ask us to access or delete any information you have sent us — just email joa@lusitanoretreat.com. You can also turn on "Do Not Track" in your browser to opt out of analytics entirely. We do not sell your data or share it beyond the hosting and form-delivery providers needed to run this site.
As the project develops we may update this notice. The date above shows the latest version. This site is not directed at children.
